Money makes the world go round. You don’t need money to be happy. But being rich would definitely smooth out some bumps in the road.
Have you ever wanted to be rich? Is it one of your goals? Or maybe do you think its impossible? Everyday, people do get rich and there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to if you put your mind to it.
So what should you do to get rich?
First of all, you need an idea. Secondly you need to break the habits that inhibit your potential.
Habits you need to break to get rich
Do you prefer watching TV than working? Who doesn’t! Unfortunately, if you want to be rich you’re gonna have to work. Procrastination is when you put off your work and do anything else (or nothing at all). Procrastinating halts your progress, as it wastes your time, energy and your focus. There are methods how you can stop procrastinating, but the thing you must always remember is that; the difficult part of any task is starting it!
Every start-up needs hard work. And you should put in hard work, otherwise your dreams will wither away. But instead of only working hard, you need to start working smart. From the start, you should focus on your strategies, instead of aimlessly working with no clear goal. Think things through, and only work hard on the essential. Don’t waste your time.
Having a plan is crucial to becoming rich. You can’t possibly go anywhere without a clear plan of action (good action plans should break goals into objectives and objectives into day-to-day tasks). But planning isn’t everything. Rarely do things go as planned. That is why you need to be flexible with your plan and be prepared for changes. You might want to keep a planner handy or maybe use an online calendar, so that you can affect changes quickly. Over planning every detail wastes your time and is ineffective.
Unfortunately, we are surrounded by distractions. Whether its social media, texting or emails, we easily lose our precious time. In order to become rich, we need to be focused. This doesn’t mean that everyone should stay in a quiet space, some people actually work better in a little chaos. Being distraction-less means that you should find the best conditions to work in and not be bothered by trivial and time-consuming things. Good practices you can use are; checking your email only once per day and using your phone only during breaks or after work.
Following the rules
Rich people are known to bend the rules in order to achieve what they want. I am not talking about laws here (always follow the law!). I am talking about society’s norms. Norms are the way people behave in a community, the unwritten laws… you might call it normality. Being normal limits your possibilities. Who says you can’t do what others can’t? Never put yourself in a box with everyone else because you are not everyone else. If you can’t get rich through the “normal” channels, think outside the box, bend society’s rules and find an other way.
One thing that REALLY inhibits our progress is fear. Fear stops us from taking the leap towards greatness. A small amount of fear is good and important. This helps us from taking crazy risks. But letting that fear take control isn’t an option. You need to gather the courage you need. One thing that helps me is knowing that even if things go south, I can always start over. So don’t let fear control you. Go ahead and take the leap to becoming rich.
Lack of motivation
Motivation is the key to success. If you quit half way through, then all your efforts would have been for nothing. Staying motivated should be a top priority in your life, especially when things get tough. Without motivation, no one can survive the long hard road to wealth.
These habits stop us from achieving our true potential and from achieving our goals. Becoming rich is no piece of cake, but by breaking these habits you can finally be on your way to becoming wealthy.
